Moment of Beauty V

Published 05th March 2011 - 4 comments - 7761 views -

Lemon blossom, often described as a waxy, white flower, gives birth to the much-loved lemon. When squeezed, a lemon releases a sharp, citrus liquid which graces Mediterranean dishes with its bright flavour.

Citrus trees are everywhere in Cyprus, and they need frequent watering if they are to produce liberal amounts of fruit.

As well as being beautiful, delicate flowers, lemon blossom bring us joy with their light, sweet scent that graces the evening just after the sunset.

Enjoy the moment!

Note: Moments of Beauty is a series of short pieces about what we could lose if we do not take care of our water supply and overall environment. All photos are taken by Sarah Fenwick.
